College love is truly special—not only because it creates a lifelong connection, but because it’s rooted in the spirit of your school. Once intertwined, it's a bond that remains unbreakable. Did you find love in college? We can't wait to hear all about your College Love Stories (romantic, BFFs, generational and everything in between)!

We're so excited to introduce Kirsten and Ryan from Kansas State University! Kirsten graduated in 2018 with a degree in Music Education, and Ryan graduated in 2017 with a degree in Elementary Education. They're basically teacher AND love goals!

KC: How did you meet? Where?

R & K: We met loading the band equipment truck before a home football game right outside of McCain Auditorium. We later got engaged on that same truck parked at Bill Snyder Family Stadium, and had it as a photo staple at our wedding held on campus.

KC: What significance does Kansas State University hold for you?

R & K: Both being out of state students brought us closer together especially when our families couldn’t be around for holidays or special events. Ryan very quickly became my home.

KC: Do you think you would have ever met if it weren't for your school? Why or why not?

R & K: If it weren’t for K-State and The Pride of Wildcatland, I don’t think we ever would have met. Our band experience is what brought us together and kept us around each other until graduation.

KC: What's your favorite thing to do together? Why?

R & K: Our favorite thing to do in college was to get dinner together in Aggieville after Latin Jazz Ensemble rehearsals. Our favorite thing to do now is to golf at Colbert Hills in our university town. (We never left) And planning all of our upcoming adventures to who knows where.

KC: What advice would you give incoming first-years about meeting other people and relationships/friendships?

You never know what instant you’re going to meet the one, or your forever friends. Find activities and people to be involved with Those people become your home away from home for 4 years of your life, if not for the rest of your life.

Thank you so much, Kirsten and Ryan, for sharing your Love Story! We can't wait to see what adventures you go on next<3
