Back to blog

College love is truly special—not only because it creates a lifelong connection, but because it’s rooted in the spirit of your school. Once intertwined, it's a bond that remains unbreakable. Did you find love in college? We can't wait to hear all about your College Love Stories (romantic, BFFs, generational and everything in between)!

We're so excited to introduce proud Wolverines, Sam and Emma from the University of Michigan. Sam majored in Environmental Science and Emma in Information Science. They are Greek Sisters turned Girlfriends!

KC: How did you meet? Where?

E & S: We met through Greek life, and we first met on a Zoom!

KC: What significance does Michigan hold for you?

E & S: Michigan is absolutely the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Not only has it revolutionized my knowledge of environmental science and the world around me, it gave me so many important relationships that I hold dear.

KC: Do you think you would have ever met if it weren't for your school? Why or why not?

E & S: I don’t think so. We are from completely different parts of the country (Ohio v New Jersey) and had no mutual friends or places. But I like to think we would have found each other anyhow.

KC: What's your favorite thing to do together? Why?

E & S: Our favorite thing to do together is go to the arcade, specifically Pinball Pete’s. We’ve spent 2/3 anniversary dates there, and it’s so much fun to get competitive with and against her. We’ve learned that we are surprisingly good at Deal or No Deal when playing as a pair. We also love their photo-booth and getting to win each other small prizes.

KC: What advice would you give incoming first-years about meeting other people and relationships/friendships?

To be brave when meeting new people. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed about having to ‘start over’ with making new friends at college, but you have to remember that everyone feels that way. This applies to romantic relationships too, being brave is always the first step.

Thanks so much Sam and Emma for sharing your Love Story with us! We can't wait to see your love continue to grow and flourish<3
