We're kicking off our Class of Now campaign by sharing the inspiring story of our Cavan Crew member Morgan Leigh Oldham.
Morgan, following in her mothers footsteps, is a gymnast at Auburn University. She is a communications major, and loves social media for all the opportunities it has offered her to connect with young women and inspiring brands that share her values and love of life!
Our Kyle Cavan is wowed by strong women like Morgan everyday, and we are beyond thrilled to share her inspiring interview.
If you had to describe your college experience in one word, what would it be?
To do justice to the greatness of my college experience, I must use three words rather than one to fully describe just how wonderful my college experience was. Those three words are dream come true. From the second I could talk I was saying "War Eagle". My superwoman of a mother went to Auburn University, and it was my dream as a little girl to be just like my mother. All I ever wanted was to be an Auburn Gymnast. Who knew that's where the dream would start and the magic that would come alongside that dream? Auburn University is a dream come true. Auburn is a family, Auburn taught me perseverance, excellence, love, and how to dream bigger. My college experience is the truest definition of dream come true.
What dreams do you have for the future—for yourself, generation, and/or your school?
On the theme of dreams, I am forever grateful for Auburn pushing me to grow, take risks, and giving me opportunities to continue to become the best version of myself. I have always been a dreamer, and that is more true now than ever. After I graduate this spring, I have plans to further my education by earning a Master's in Communication at Auburn University. While I am working towards my master's, I hope to finish writing and plan to release my book. It is a self-improvement book encouraging you to dream big, be bold, grow, and continue to become the best version of yourself. I am also working on a new communication course for Auburn University. I want to help every college student feel prepared, supported, eager, and ready to take on the world after they graduate, and this course prepares them for just that. A course is a helpful tool for the transition from college to the professional world. After this, I have a dream to attend law school. I love the ability to grow and keep learning and I am so thankful for Auburn allowing me to continue my education and empowering me to live out these crazy big dreams.
I am most grateful for…
Wow! Where do I even begin? I am unbelievably grateful for my faith and the way that faith has shaped my life, goals, dreams, passion, and the love I have experienced. I am also so incredibly grateful for my family. My family is my rock and the best support system I could ever ask for. I am grateful for Auburn University and the numerous blessings and opportunities they have given me. I am grateful for the talent and ability to do gymnastics and live out my lifelong dream. I am grateful for the people who inspire me to live and love to the fullest capacity.
A Little Bit More About Morgan...
Even while she's busy conquering the world Morgan can not do without her daily coffee and dose of Ariana Grande. Lip gloss and blush are her absolute essentials and her favourite brand at the moment is Zara.
