Meet Alaa, one of our amazing Cavan Crew members! This Penn State alumna was a member of the homecoming court, and we are grateful to have Alaa on our team <3

What's an unforgettable memory from your time at Penn State? 

I will never forget being on the homecoming court at Penn State. It was truly one of my favorite memories from all of college. I felt so much love and support from my peers and professors. Penn State is an incredibly school-spirited university, and it was great being part of a tradition.

What are you most grateful for? 

My family. I know that I can always count on them to make me laugh or cheer me up. I was fortunate enough to go to college with my older brother and my younger sister.

Alaa, tell us about your dreams; what do you you have planned for the future—for yourself, generation, and/or your school?

I ultimately just want to be happy, and I hope everyone around me is happy! For my future, I hope I am making a contribution to the world in a positive manner. I hope to use my voice as a pivot for change and to inspire others! I aspire to make a contribution to healthcare and science, while also maintaining my passion for public speaking and content creation. I hope my generation and future generations are inclusive, safe, and healthy. For Penn State, I hope diversity continues to grow there and opportunity never ceases there!
