As many know or will soon find out, college is a journey full of unexpected twists and turns, and many (so many!) seemingly life-defining moments. Not only are you expected to know just what you want to do fresh out of high school but you're often not given many opportunities to explore other paths. We sat down with University of Michigan grad, Ella Liu to chat about just that!
Starting out as a pre-med student, Ella sought a career that would make a positive impact on her community and help others around her. She quickly found herself in an increasing number of creative pursuits - managing her university's Alpha Delta Pi chapter's social media (as well as being a sister, of course!), joining Michigan A Capella, becoming a Bumble ambassador, and discovering a passion for marketing.

With graduation coming up fast, Ella began to explore what she wanted to do after grad and found that medicine was not her true passion. She began networking on LinkedIn and is now working a full-time social media job at Swoon in NYC!
Ella not only found her passion but also found that her values of empathy and respect are a must in any career, not just medicine. As a natural-born leader and highly ambitious person, Ella found what her calling was and went for it (actual goals!)

Ella has not only shown us that life is a journey and self-discovery is vital to achieving your goals, but also that you might not figure out "what you want to be when you grow up" the first time around, and that's okay!
