Inspired by the North Star & the points of a Compass — always guiding you home.
Polaris or more commonly know as the North Star, sits at the northern most point of any star in relation to the earths axis. Due to it's position almost directly in line with the earth's axis, Polaris is almost completely motionless and thus has been used for centuries by travelers and sailors as a navigation guide. In the words of Shakespeare, "I am as constant as the northern star/Of whose true-fixed and resting quality/There is no fellow in the firmament."

Polaris goes by many names, North Star, "Guiding Star" (Old English), "The Star that Sits Still" (Lakota), "the star that does not move" (Plains Cree), and even "the nailstar" (Finland) because it appears to have a literal nail holding it in position. But no matter the translation, one thing remains certain, the North Star is constant in both position and significance. It is the light that guides lost travelers home.
