In honor of our founders Kyle and Elizabeth's birthdays this summer, we're so excited to share a little bit about their decades-long friendship and how they became KYLE CAVAN's co-founders.
Kyle and Elizabeth met in middle school and were instant friends! They went their separate ways during college — Kyle went to Duke University, and Elizabeth went to Penn State — but reunited soon after when they decided to get their first apartment together in NYC.
It was in that tiny NYC apartment that the idea for KYLE CAVAN began to take shape. As a History major and lover of Greek coins, Kyle began designing what would become some of our best-selling pieces today — from Sunbursts to Shields and Florentines. Elizabeth focused on the technical side of things. With a background as an Advertising major and over 10 years of marketing experience, she was ready to help make their dream a reality.
And just like that, a chance encounter in middle school, a tiny NYC apartment and dream to create something extraordinary came together to create KYLE CAVAN. We're so happy to be celebrating our incredible founders on their birthdays and could only dream of having a friendship as special as theirs. Here's to celebrating lifelong friends!
